VIKING CUP
1st ever draughts competition in Scandinavia

Stockholm, August 24-31, 2009

Open tournament, sponsored by company VIKING, will be also qualification to EC-2010 (with 24 players). Probably minimum top 3-4 players from Stockholm get a direct place in EC-2010 without difference from which federation they are (even 4 from Norway for example).

During the same period and at the same place and with the same sponsor - EC blitz will be organised.

The easiest way to travel from Skavsta to Taby Park Hotell is following.
Buss between Skavsta and Stockholm City Terminal. It takes 1 h 20 min, price 10 EURO.
Subway (T-tunnelbana) /Metro to “Danderyds Sjukhus” (you buy the ticket at the entrance to the Subway. You have to say: I wont to travel to “Täby/Galoppfäletet” and you will get a ticket which will be valid for the hole trip. Price 45 SEK ca 4 EURO)
Train / Roslagsbana from “Danderyds Sjukhus” to station ”Galoppfältet”.
Walk 150 m to the Täby Park Hotell.

Two ways of travelling from Arlanda Airport to Taby Park Hotel:
1.    Taxi to Taby Park Hotel, Kemistvagen 30 from outside Arlanda Airport ( fixed price of 40euro with the company "Taxi 020". Travelling time 25 minutes.
2.    Bus coach from Arlanda Airport to Stockholm T-central.
Change to subway and take the red line with direction to Marby Centrum and get off at Tekniska Hagskolan. Change to train Roslagsbanan in direction to Asterskar (nr 28). Get off at the train station Galoppfaltet and take a 5 minute walk to Taby Park Hotell. Also find map and directions at http://www.tabypark.se (price 10 e bus coach+ train ticket  6 e). The bus ticket can be bought directly on the bus, while the train ticket is recommended to be bought at the Taby central with SL. Travelling time 1 hour 20 minutes.
