The 26th European Youth Championship took place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 1 to 9 August 2026. More than 340 young draughts players from across Europe gathered at the Dzingel Hotel to compete for the European titles in three disciplines: Classic, Rapid and Blitz.
The Classic competition, held from 1 to 7 August, determined the European Youth Champions in ten categories. In the Open groups: Ernests Andersons (Latvia) in Open 10, Wojciech Mroczek (Poland) in Open 13, Matvey Koliesnikov (Ukraine) in Open 16, Priit Lokotar (Estonia) in Open 19, and Matteo Fortunato (Italy) in Open 26.
The Girls champions were: Jasmina Lamberte (Latvia) in Girls 10, Varvara Ivanova (Latvia) in Girls 13, Malvine Misane (Latvia) in Girls 16, Aiste Pukstaite (Lithuania) in Girls 19, and Banu Ali (Azerbaijan) in Girls 26.
The Rapid and Blitz competitions followed on 8 and 9 August, with champions crowned across the same ten age categories. Full results are available at the official tournament website.
The championship was organized by the Estonian Draughts Federation under the auspices of the European Draughts Confederation. The Chief Arbiter, Magda Pawlowska (Poland), with her team of referees ensured the smooth running over nine days. Thanks to all participants, coaches and federations for a successful championship.
