Işık Eskiizmirliler was born in Izmir on September 1939. He completed his education in İzmir. After graduating from Izmir Ataturk high school, he received a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences at Ege University. In 1971, after the end of military service, he did his mater degree in “Labour law and cooperatives” major. After passing the Radio Programming exam he had a six-month training and became a radio program producer in TRT.
Işık Eskiizmirliler began his career as a public accountant and worked in cost accounting department in Sümerbank Bergama textile factory. He entered and passed the exam for Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, and began to work in the accounting service. A year later, at his own request he served four years in this institution as an expert in the research department.
In 1972 he worked for a year in Tariş Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union in the planning service, and for two years in “sefeko” (Seferihisar Citrus Cooperative) as the director of the cooperative.
In the beginning of 1970 he established his own company and engaged in chicken farming for over ten years, He also opened a brassiere and a restaurant executed managership in the service sector.
In 1982, he began kindergarten managership, after transferring the kindergarten in the 1990s, he opened a “wellness centre” and worked for three years in this area.
As a person who lives by the sea, he has diving and the Coastal captain licenses. He speaks English.
He has been a founding member of Izmir Dama Development Association, Izmir skin divers Lifeguard Association and in various cooperatives and has worked actively in these NGOs.
He sees dama as his biggest hobby since his childhood years. Playing dama is his greatest passion. He took place in the foundation of Dama federation and since the founding of the federation he continues to serve as the President of the Board of Education and a board member of the Federation.
