First European Rapid Championship was held in Tallinn, Estonia.
In mens tournament the First European Champion is Alexander Georgiev, who was followed by Alexander Schwarzman and Andrei Kalmakov (All Russia).

In women tournament the winner was Tamara Tansykkuzhina. The second was Ayyyna Sobakina and third Nika Leopoldova.
